Mel is the founder of Kinsella HR Solutions Limited launched in January 2023 a HR Consultancy based in Carlisle, Cumbria with the capability of working across the UK. She then went on to launch Kinsella Business Solutions CIC, in July 2024. A Community Interest Company (CIC), the organisation focuses on social objectives alongside its business goals. Mel has assembled an exceptional team that specialises in four key areas: HR, Leadership Development, Marketing, and Recruitment.

Industries she has worked with include civil service, local authorities, schools, charities, voluntary organisations, IT, creative arts and manufacturing.

Mel holds the prestigious FCIPD (Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) designation, which signifies her high level of expertise and experience in the field of human resources. As a Director and HR Consultant, she brings over 25 years of experience in resolving people issues to support business success.

  • She performs as a solo act, singing Soul and Motown
  • Mel is also a member of a 5-piece Disco and Soul band

Mel's favourite life quote is "Live your best life," which reflects her positive outlook and zest for life. This attitude is further demonstrated by an interesting fact about her: Mel loves heights and has participated in a skydive to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, showcasing her adventurous spirit and commitment to charitable causes.
